Available TODAY: Alberta Ferretti for Macy's

The Spring collection that I first told you about in February by Italian designer Alberta Ferretti for Macy's Impulse collection is available on www.macys.com and in select Macy's stores TODAY. The collection was inspired by the Amalfi Coast and features knitwear, garden-party dresses, and Mediterranean peasant blouses. Pieces in the collection range from $49 to $119. Available TODAY: Marni for H&M

In November, I first told you that Italian fashion house Marni has announced that it will be designing a Spring/Summer line for H&M. The much-anticipated line features Marni's signature prints and bold colors and is available at H&M stores TODAY, March 8, 2012. The collection is available at the H&M location at Easton mall in the C-bus.  Pictures from the Marni for H&M lookbook (borrowed from H&M's website) are posted above and below. Items in the collection range from around $20 for t-shirts, sunglasses, scarves, and jewelry to $80 to $130 for dresses. What do you think of the collection?

Available April 17th: Alberta Ferretti for Macy's

 

Macy's has just announced that its next Impulse collaboration will be with Italian designer Alberta Ferretti, who is known for her unique twisting, tucking, and draping techniques.  This Spring collection was inspired by Amalfi Coast and will feature knitwear, garden-party dresses, and Mediterranean peasant blouses. The Alberta Ferretti for Macy's collection will available in select Macy's stores and on www.macys.com on April 17th.  Pieces in the collection will range from $49 to $119.  The pictures above are from her AW2012 collection.  I will be sure to post the lookbook as soon as it is available!   

Available TODAY: Doo-Ri Chung for Macy's

In November, I told you that the next designer that will be designing a line for Macy's Impulse collection will be Korean-American designer Doo-Ri Chung. Doo-Ri is best known for her draped jersey dresses. Pieces in the Doo-Ri for Macy's collection range from $39 to $159 and are available in select Macy's stores (at Easton and Tuttle malls in the C-bus) and on www.macys.com TODAY. I've posted my favorites from the collection above. The collection as a whole strikes me as a bit "old" for an Impulse collection, which is typically geared towards juniors or young adults. I also don't know how I feel about the shapeless tops and dresses. But, the collection also offers some more structured pieces that I really do like as well! What do you think of the collection?
