Raid My Closet: My Purchases for This Fall/Winter

I have been on shopping overdrive the last few months in part because of the great sales that have been popping up lately and in part because I've had too much time on my hands!!!  Below is a collection of various items that I've purchased over the last few months divided by fall/winter trend so that you know that I do follow my own advice!!  The prices listed below are the original prices for each of these items.  In reality, I purchased each of these items at a far cheaper price using one of the coupons or discount codes that I post on this blog. As you can see, when I find something I like, I tend to purchase it in multiple colors.  Overall, I'm really quite pleased with my recent wardrobe additions and can't wait to wear everything!

Raid My Closet: End-of-the-Summer Purchases

I've purchased a few things during the end-of-summer sales that have been popping up lately so I thought I'd go ahead and show you all what I got. I've saved my autumn/winter purchases for a different post. All of these items were purchased at major discounts and I'm pretty pleased with everything!  First, I recently picked up the above straw hat by French Connection from www.asos.com (originally $63.78) to replace one that I ripped while on vacation in Las Vegas. I also recently bought the above necklace on www.shopbop.com by Sachin + Babi which I absolutely LOVE. It is an amazing statement necklace and I really like that brand's jewelry although I have noticed that a few beads have fallen off already. I purchased the above blush blazer from www.shockboutique.com (originally $62) and the floral dress by Rachel Rachel Roy from Macy's (originally $119) to wear at a work function over the summer -- the Rachel Roy for Macy's line is fantastic, so if you haven't checked it out yet, I recommend that you do!

I've been trying to be good lately and not shop too much, which is why I haven't posted about my purchases recently, but I thought I'd go ahead and post what I've acquired recently (although some of these purchases go back to January!). They are, however, mostly purchases that I made with Spring and Summer in mind. And just to show you that I heed my own advice, I've divided them into categories so that you can see which Spring/Summer 2011 trend that they relate to. Although you can also see that while I try to keep up with the trends, many of my purchases reflect my personal feminine style. Raid My Closet: My Christmas Haul

I hope everyone had a great holiday season and got everything that they wanted. I really cleaned up this Christmas! Pictured above and below are my gifts (either received from generous friends and family members or purchased myself during the sales). I really am in love with all of these items but the four items above are definitely my favorite! I got the jacket above at 70% off during Saks' black friday sale! I can't get enough of it! The Gucci tote I purchased at 30% off during Gucci's online pre-sale and the scarf necklace I purchased at 40% off during shopbop's after Christmas sale. It is so unique -- I can't stop wearing it! The instyler was a gift and it is seriously the best straightener I've ever used!
