Trend Alert: Ombre Hair

One of the newest hair trends is ombre hair -- where your hair gradually moves from dark on top to lighter on the bottom. Loads of celebs have been spotted with ombre hair recently (Above: Camilla Alves, Lauren Conrad, Rachel Bilson, Lindsay Lohan). What do you think of this trend? To me, it sort of looks like their roots are growing out and they are in need of a dye job. And it actually reminds me of when I suppose I too had ombre hair -- not by choice -- but because I was in the process of transitioning back to a brunette after dying my hair blond for a year in college! All in all, I don't think the trend is hideous by any means, although I slightly prefer it on the blonds pictured above as opposed to the brunettes. What do you think of this trend? Spring/Summer 2010 Fashion Trend: Nude Shoes

In keeping with the soft neutral clothing color palette for this Spring, another big trend on the SS2010 runways were nude colored shoes (Above: 3.1 Phillip Lim; Chanel; Elie Saab; Marc Jacobs). I couldn't be happier about this trend because I think they are super flattering because they elongate your leg line. I already own a pair of peep-toe nude pumps for work and a pair of nude strappy sandals for the weekend that I wear all the time! Another great thing about this trend is that they go with everything! Finding shoes to match a particularly bright colored dress like fuchsia or yellow can be tough because other neutrals like black and brown just don't quite look right. That is where the nude shoe comes to the rescue!
