Over the last few months I've acquired some new pieces to update my fall/winter wardrobe (and to replace some of my older items that are falling apart lol), so I thought I'd go ahead and post pictures of the items that I have purchased. Luckily, I already own a lot of pieces that happen to be on-trend this season (i.e., I already have loads of black and white pieces, lots of vintage brooches from my grandmother and flea markets, a pair of nude pointy-toed shoes, a great plum wide-brimmed fedora hat from Banana Republic a few years ago, and a military-inspired jacket by Smythe that I adore). But just to show you that I follow my own fashion advice, I have divided my purchases in categories based upon certain of the Fall/Winter trends this year. As usual, all of these items were purchased at a price much less than retail using the discount codes and coupons that I post on this blog! Contrast Sleeves

In July, I told you that fashion-forward designer Maison Martin Margiela will be designing a collection for H&M that will include womenswear, menswear, and accessories. The lookbook for that collection has been released and photos from the womenswear line are pictured above and below. The collection will be available THIS Thursday, November 15th in select H&M stores (which will likely include the H&M store at Easton mall in the C-bus). Prices in the collection range from $13 for a necklace to $399 for a coat. What do you think of this collection? It is certainly fashion forward, but it just doesn't appeal to my aesthetic as I prefer fitted clothes to baggy clothes. Will you be lining up at H&M on November 15th to score a piece from this collection?
I am writing from the fashion wasteland known as Columbus, Ohio, devoid of even the most basic of needs like a Neiman Marcus and a Bloomingdales, and where the ensemble of choice for the masses typically involves an Ohio State University sweatshirt. I write to provide fellow Columbusites and my girlfriends all over the country with a listing of fashion deals, news, advice, and events. This blog is for the money conscious shopper who loves to look great but must adhere to a budget. While I love the quality and innovation of designer items, nearly all of my designer items have been purchased at a discount. My goal is to make designer fashion accessible to and affordable for the everyday woman. Each week I will provide a list of deals (updated DAILY so be sure to check back), as well as any and all sales I run across locally and online. I will also provide you glimpses into my wardrobe and my own style muses, who help to guide me in my fashion choices. Please feel free to leave me comments!
