Trend Alert: Short Flared Skirts

Short flared a-line skirts are a super big trend right now.  Loads of celebs have been wearing them lately (see above: Lauren Conrad; Jennifer Hudson; Kim Kardashian; Ashley Greene).  I really like this trend because it is girly and fun and really youthful, but if you are a little wider on the bottom like I am, be sure to look for a skirt that flatters your bottom half.  The less poofy they skirt is and the more a-line, the more flattering the skirt will be on you.  Of course, if you are lucky enough to have a slender frame, don't be afraid to go for a fuller skirt.  If you are liking this trend as much as I am, below are some options to consider:  Ark & Co. colorblock skirt for $64 on; ASOS checked skirt for $54.54 on; "Everything Illuminated" neon skirt for $42 on; Jack by BB Dakota "Camila" skirt for 59 on; Surf Electric by Bethany Mayer skirt for $54 on; STONES faux leather circle skirt for $99 on; Rich & Skinny "Catalina" skirt for $150 on; Nishe organza embroidered skirt for $118.16 on; MinkPink "Laura May" skirt for $79 on; L.A.M.B. print skirt for $215 on; "Good and Pleat-y" skirt for $58 on; Oasis lace skater skirt for $76.35 on
