Spring/Summer 2013 Trend: Caps

One of the more interesting trends that appeared on the SS2013 runways are caps.  (Above: DKNY; Alexander Wang; Catherine Malandrino; Rag & Bone.)  I guess this trend sort of falls in line with the idea of dressing more sporty and casual during the warmer months, but in my honest opinion I am not a huge fan of this trend.  But I suppose that a cap would be a great item to have if you are having a bad hair day!  If you disagree with me and are a fan of this trend, below are some cute caps for you to consider:  Burberry "Kenley" raffia peak cap for $450 on www.bloomingdales.com; Crocheted baseball cap for $6.80 on www.forever21.com; Studded front cap for $33.91 on www.asos.com; "Staring at Stars" embellished elephant hat for $39 on www.urbanoutfitters.com; Retro baseball cap for $5.80 on www.forever21.com; Shaded grosgrain cap for $38 on www.anthropologie.com; Cheap Monday "CM net" cap for $35 on www.shopbop.com; Collection XIIX colorblocked woven cap for $24 on www.nordstrom.com;  "Spark Plug" cap for $18 on www.nastygal.com; Rachel Zoe raffia newsboy cap for $110 on www.nordstrom.com; Suede cap for $40.69 on www.asos.com; San Diego Hat feather band cap for $32 on www.nordstrom.com.
