THIS Saturday, May 22nd from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. head over to the Mahan Gallery in the Short North for a socially responsible fashion trunk show with Pittsburgh-based designer Kelly Lane.
Kelly will share her design story and ethos at 1: 00 p.m., sell her spring collection, and preview & pre-order her fall 2010 collection (cash/check preferred; MasterCard/Visa accepted). Kelly's collection is sophisticated with an eye toward sustainability. She uses eco-friendly materials and ethical practices and carefully blends the versatility of jersey with the sturdiness of woven fabrics to create a feminine silhouette that is both soft and structured. The line is creatively conceived by Kelly and local artisans, and produced by a family-run business in New York. The result is limited-run, high-quality clothing with a conscience.
