A lot of designers included a leather dress in their AW2011 collection this year (Above: Prabal Gurung; Michael Kors; Gucci; Nanette Lepore). I really love this trend because of the contrast of combining the feminine (a dress) with the edgy (leather). A leather (or faux leather) dress either in a shift style or with a fuller skirt is on my list of items to buy this fall for sure! Unfortunately, because of the material, this is not the cheapest item to purchase in order to update your fall/winter wardrobe, so if you buy a leather dress I would recommend buying one in a more classic shape so that your get your money's worth! If you are daring enough to give this trend a try, below are some options to consider: Ann Taylor leather dress for $348 on www.anntaylor.com; ASOS leather dress with drop armhole on sale for $67.69 on www.asos.com; BB Dakota "Serena" dress for $175 on www.urbanoutfitters.com; Ali Ro swingy leather dress for $595 on www.neimanmarcus.com; ASOS suede shift dress on sale for $91.48 on www.asos.com; Vince leather mini dress for $595 on www.saks.com; Free People vegan leather bodycon dress for $128 on www.freepeople.com; See by Chloe leather shift dress for $795 on www.netaporter.com; Gap leather shift dress for $348 on www.gap.com; BCBGMAXAZRIA faux leather paneled crewneck dress for $114 on www.bluefly.com; Robert Rodriguez leather sheath dress for $695 on www.shopbop.com; Rag & Bone "Ashfield" leather combo dress for $795 on www.shopbop.com.
