Spring is truly right around the corner! In fact, the first day of Spring is next month on March 20th! Since Spring is about to be sprung, I figured that it is time to kick off my run-down of the 2010 Spring/Summer trends. This Spring there is a trend for everyone, whether your style is more traditional or more contemporary.
One trend featured on the SS2010 runways (Above: Hermes; Moschino Cheap & Chic; Rochas; Stella McCartney) emerged last Spring and is sticking around this Spring as well. Some call it a jumpsuit, while others call it a romper, a jumper, or a onesie. No matter what you call it, however, the key to this look is to make sure that you choose an age-appropriate jumpsuit. The shorter the style, the more you risk looking like you belong back in middle-school. Also, be sure to choose the pattern of your jumpsuit carefully -- bold prints have the potential to overwhelm your frame when you wear a jumpsuit because it is all over your body. My favorite jumpsuits typically are ankle or knee length and are a solid color. When this trend first emerged last Spring I admittedly hated it. I will now admit that jumpsuits are starting to grow on me although I am still not sure that it is something I could pull off without looking childish.
