Spring/Summer 2010 Fashion Trend: Trench Dressing
Always a staple item in any girl's Spring wardrobe, the trench coat was quite popular on the SS2010 runways (Above: 3.1 Phillip Lim; Burberry Prorsum; Celine; Marc Jacobs). Trenches this Spring range from the more traditional khaki colored knee-length style to a more modern above-the-knee or cropped style in all kinds of colors. Some are military inspired while others are more feminine with ruffles. Trench dresses are also popular. I'm so happy that trenches are in style this Spring because it is such a classic piece that women of all age ranges can wear! While I admittedly already own quite a few trench coats, I recently picked up one more that I can't wait to wear this Spring (pictured below from Anthropologie). If you are looking to add a timeless staple to your wardrobe this Spring, below are a few trenches for you to consider: Bell sleeve short trench for $32.80 available on www.forever21.com; "Blanche Dubois" short trench for $58 available on www.lulus.com; Tahari "Ricky" sateen trench for $128 available on www.nordstrom.com; London Fog trench for $98 available on www.nordstrom.com; Kensie short-sleeve trench for $138 available on www.macys.com; Banana Republic short trench for $175 available on www.bananarepublic.com; Tahari "Eve" asymmetrical ruffle trench for $128 available on www.nordstrom.com; Banana Republic crinkle trench for $198 available on www.bananarepublic.com; Kenneth Cole New York "Trapunto" trench for $118 available on www.nordstrom.com; Juicy Couture ruffle cropped trench for $298 available on www.piperlime.com; Ellen Tracy hooded short trench for $128 available on www.nordstrom.com; Double ruffle trench for $168 available on www.anthropologie.com (I just bought this one...SO cute!!!); Cropped trench for $78 available on www.urbanoutfitters.com; Calvin Klein hooded short trench for $98 available on www.nordstrom.com.
