Asian-inspired prints and details were prominent in many of the SS2011 collections (Above: Givenchy; Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti; Dries Van Noten; Louis Vuitton). I like this trend because many of the prints are quite feminine and the fabrics are flowy, which suit my girly aesthetic, but I think you have to be careful not to go overboard with this trend (i.e., the hat at Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti above). Otherwise, you run the risk of looking like you are wearing a costume. If this trend is appealing to you, below are some options to consider: Elie Tahari "Kathryn" jersey shift dress for $248 on www.nordstrom.com; Ksenia scarf sleeve top for $138 on www.bcbg.com; Tibi strapless print dress for $363 on www.shopbop.com; "Crane or Shine" dress for $139.99 on www.modcloth.com; Sakura wrap dress for $58 on www.nastygal.com; Silk flower tunic for $129 on www.bebe.com; Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent tunic dress for $365 on www.nordstrom.com; Foley + Corinna cowl back floral top for $275 on www.shopbop.com; Shimmer woven kimono dress for $159 on www.bebe.com; One-shoulder kimono top for $22.80 on www.forever21.com; Karen Zambos Vintage Couture kimono dress for $231 on www.shopbop.com; Leith drape-sleeve silk jacket for $228 on www.nordstrom.com.
